Alexxis Steele is a singer, actress, author and radio host based in Allentown, Pennsylvania. On U-Rock®, "RUN RUN" and "LOVES NOT ALWAYS FAIR" are her most-played tracks.

Raised in the business

Her U-Rock® artist profile says her father was a drummer and vocalist who played in the Army's USO shows with Bob Hope and spent a year in the Harry James Orchestra. She sang in Philadelphia talent contests from age 3 and was singing with his bands by age 9. At 15 she was offered a backup-singer spot on tour with Chicago. She turned it down because taking it would have meant leaving school.

Lehigh Valley years

After moving to the Lehigh Valley she started fronting her own bands in 1983. From 2001 to 2006 she was Executive Director of the Lehigh Valley Music Awards, and in 2009 the awards honored her for more than 20 years of service to music. In 2011 she launched Steel Entertainment & Records, and in 2012 she started Music 101 With Alexxis Steele, an interview show she lists on iHeartRadio, Spotify and YouTube. She also founded Steel Notes magazine in 2014.

Now

She is the voice of Stevie Nicks in "Dreams," a Stevie Nicks/Tom Petty/Fleetwood Mac tribute show, which debuted at Northampton's Roxy Theatre in September 2024. She has published two children's books, Adventures In Dogville (2024) and The Little Gray Mouse That Lives In The House (2025). She also sings with the rock group Steel Rose.

Why it matters on U-Rock®
