Darker My Love were a psychedelic rock band from Los Angeles. U-Rock® has logged 1,764 plays of "Blue Day."
From hardcore to psych
According to Wikipedia, guitarist and singer Tim Presley, formerly of the hardcore punk band the Nerve Agents, formed the band in 2004 with drummer Andy Granelli, his former Nerve Agents bandmate, who was then also in the Distillers. Bassist Rob Barbato, who shared songwriting and vocals, and rhythm guitarist Jared Everett joined soon after, and Will Canzoneri added organ in 2006. The name comes from a T.S.O.L. song. In 2006, Presley and Barbato also joined the British post-punk band the Fall and played on its 2007 album Reformation Post TLC. Presley also created much of the band's artwork.
"Blue Day"
"Blue Day" comes from the band's second album, 2, released on Dangerbird Records on 5 August 2008. Wikipedia notes that it was used in Guitar Hero 5 and NHL 2K10. The band released three LPs and one EP in total. The photo here is a live shot by Scott Dudelson.
