Linda Gail Lewis is an American singer, songwriter and pianist. U-Rock® has logged 212 plays of a spot promoting her album Hard Rockin' Woman.
A family business
According to Wikipedia, she has recorded with her brother Jerry Lee Lewis, as well as Van Morrison, Robbie Fulks, Wanda Jackson and Robert Gordon, and with her daughters as the Lewis 3. Many of her albums have been produced by her son-in-law Danny B. Harvey of The Rockats and The Headcat.
Hard Rockin' Woman
Goldmine described Hard Rockin' Woman as her release on Lanark Records, the Pennsylvania rockabilly label run by Quentin Jones, where her labelmates include Robert Gordon and original Sun Records artist Charlie Gracie. The magazine said the CD "rocks from start to finish" and includes a cover of Jerry Lee's "Rockin' My Life Away." Lewis told Goldmine that "Love Sick" was written by Harvey, and that the swamp-rock "Heartbreak Highway" was her own: "Yes darlin', that's my song. I wrote that." The photo here is from the Richmond Folk Festival in 2018.
