Sarajevo is the British hard-rock band Pete "Wolf" Lacey formed in 1988. It is now the first signing to U-Rock® Records International.
The first run
The band's U-Rock® profile says Sarajevo built a large UK following with its live show over five years. Their one album, Tomorrow in the Hands of Yesterday's Man, came out in 1993. The video for the song "Sarajevo" was shown on BBC2, MTV and VH1, and the band earned airplay on BBC Radio 1 and Radio 210. They also released a live video, Live, in the Hands of the Gods. The profile says the band toured with Ian Hunter, The Almighty, Dr Feelgood, Chris Farlowe, Maggie Bell and Ricky Byrd and played the Marquee Club in London. That run peaked with a set at the Hells Angels' Bulldog Bash in Long Marston. The band split in 1993, after the rise of grunge.
Back from lockdown
The members reconnected in 2020 to record the charity album The Strength Of The Wolf Is In The Pack (2022). Guitarist Tom Potter and Peruvian keyboardist Nilver Pérez joined for Out Of Darkness Cometh Light (2024). Night Of The Wolf Moon (2026) features guest guitarists from the UK, Mexico, Spain, Peru, Cuba and Brazil. Italian guitarist Daniel Bart also contributes. U-Rock® Records International catalog URR-26-SAR-001-CD, The Collection — The Best Of Sarajevo, is a limited CD pressing of 50 copies, shipped from Japan, and opens with "Sarajevo," "Last Train Outta Town" and "Princess Of The Masquerade."
